Economics I

From Intermediate onwards my dad periodically gave me newspaper clippings about recent events worldwide. Through these and other sources of news, I found that many of society’s activities depended on economics. Encouraged by my dad, I found a microeconomics textbook from the public library. I soon discovered that economics was actually divided into two areas. One focuses on how consumers and firms interact as bodies called markets. The other concentrates on country-level economic actions. Thus I was introduced to the concepts of microeconomics and macroeconomics. With this, I decided to start from the fundamental level of microeconomics. As I studied more, I increasingly appreciated how economics are deeply ingrained in our daily lives. As such I was quite keen to learn more about this significant subject.
